Facebook issued an apology after anonymous employees posted a blog detailing a racist culture within the company. The post highlighted incidents of racism toward black, Hispanic, and female Asian employees.
In response, Facebook’s Vice President of Corporate Communications, Bertie Thomson, stated that such behavior goes against the company’s values, and they are committed to doing better. Additionally, in a separate incident, black employees at Facebook shared feelings of workplace bias, prompting the company to address the issue.
